So I spend the whole night to early morning playing Keith's main route. I have always planned to play him since I saw the random screenies people posted, but I haven't actually played him until last night. And it doesn't disappoint me. Romancing Keith is a fun journey.
He comes off as an arrogant pompous jerk and he IS a jerk, at least during the beginning on the route, but if you stick with him, he is worth the time.
I think Keith is surprised with the MC. She is different than the women he had known before. For one, she isn't afraid in talking back to him and I do enjoy talking back to him. It's fun, and I think it's because of that, he starts to see the MC in different light. I can't say I dislike Keith though, even in the beginning. Yes, I think he is a jerk and deserves a slap for some of his words, but seeing him with Cathy makes me warm up to him. I am an older sibling myself so I can connect to his feeling of caring to the younger ones. Once Keith starts to like the MC, it shows in the way he protect and worry about her. And he starts to listen to other people's opinion too, a thing that he didn't do before he met her.
I really enjoy seeing his character growth and how he gradually fall in love with the MC. I swoon in many parts during my play and I honestly love this route. So, Keith, you may not be able to take Will's place in my heart, but I genuinely love you too. Too bad you didn't get some steamy time with MC (like Cathy said, you should be more forceful), but oh well, you are sexy and there are many great moments in your route, so you are forgiven for now, but I expect to see some action in the sequel, okay?
As for side characters, Luke is rude at the beginning, but he turns to be a sweetie. Cathy is perfect, love her a lot. Alick is an old supporting wise man. Other princes have a small but great roles and it shows up Keith's character growth in how different he faced them during the two moments they appear. Mike is adorable as always (I would love to have such a funky granpa). King and Queen don't have many screen times, but they are pretty much okay, it is also good that they already know Keith will choose the MC anyway and supportive about it. Secretary Nicholson is an idiot and racist. Now, Laura. I dislike her, that's for sure, but I won't say I hate her. I do understand her feeling and while I probably won't be that cruel, I may do something against the MC too if I am in her place. So, like the MC, I will forgive what she had done before, and it does look like she starts to become a good friend in the end.
PS: Keith, do you love red that much? Every outfit except the suit you wear has red shirts. What is wrong with your fashion sense???
